OREANDA-NEWS. November 02, 2012. The document was signed on June, 26 in Brussels. It stipulates Moldova’s admittance to the EU air market, implementation of flight safety requirements and liberalization of the air services market.

According to the Premier of Moldova, the agreement is of great importance for Moldova’s air companies since excludes destinations and frequency flight restraints and opens access to the market of EU with the population of 500 mln.

Making flights more available will lead to intensification of cooperation between Moldovan and European businessmen, Vladimir Filat said. The agreement will allow to improve services, encourage competition, attract low-cost air companies in our country and, as a result, will lead to lower prices for air tickets. The Common Air Space Agreement will be beneficial first of all for ordinary people, who will have better services at lower prices.

Airports will benefit from the agreement because their facilities will be used more intensively, the passenger traffic will grow and regional airports will have a higher status and play a more important role.
