OREANDA-NEWS. November 2, 2012. Belarus’ OJSC Belarusian Small Business Bank (BSBB) has signed an agreement Microfinance Enhancement Facility (MEF Luxemburg) to open a USD 2.5 million credit line for financing small and medium business projects in Belarus, the bank said in a release.

It is the fifth European credit fund the Belarusian bank has partnered with after four years on the market, BSBB CEO Stephen James Orlesky said in a statement to comment on the newly-signed agreement.

Since October 2008 till October 2012 the Belarusian Small Business Bank has issued around 5,000 credits to the tune of USD 110 million.

The SBB Bank was established in 2008 by 8 foreign institutions, including the EBRD, the IFC, FMO and KfW.

The bank has its representative offices in Minsk, Borisov, Brestm Grodno, Lida, Vitebsk and Mogilev.
