OREANDA-NEWS. November 6, 2012. PJSC "Ukrsotsbank", which operates under the UniCredit Bank trade mark, supported a young Ukrainian grandmaster within "Memorial M.I.Chyhoryna” international chess festival.

The trans-border chess tournament will be held from October 25 till November 4, 2012 in the cultural capital of Russia - Saint-Petersburg. Competition will be held in two stages: 25-26 October a Rapid tournament will take place, and from October 27 till November 4 the Classic chess tournament – Russian Cup Stage will start. St. Petersburg’s chess competition traditionally has a strong composition of the players. Currently, 280 players, including 75 international grandmasters have submitted applications to the main event. Such famous grandmasters as: Alexei Shirov (Latvia), Alexander Areshchenko (Ukraine) Almashi Zoltan (Hungary), Krishnan Sashikiryan (India), Vladimir Akopian (Armenia), and many other strong players will play in this year tournament.

PJSC "Ukrsotsbank", UniCredit Bank™, is proud to present a talented chess player Yuri Ayrapetyan on the "Memorial M.I. Chyhoryna" international chess festival. Yuriy is not only an employee of PJSC "Ukrsotsbank" but also a young Ukrainian chess player, International Grandmaster of chess. The player received the title of International Master in 2005 and won the title of grandmaster in 2007.
