OREANDA-NEWS. November 7, 2012. The International Finance Corporation (IFC) has signed a Loan agreement to provide a long-term loan to ASTARTA. The financing in amount of up to USD 40 mln would comprise a secured long-term loan for up to seven years.

The proceeds of the loan would be granted for the construction of a soybean crushing facility, the construction of a biogas facility, the expansion of agricultural land, the purchase of supporting farm machinery, storage and infrastructure to increase production volumes of crops and further modernization of sugar production. Funding will also develop infrastructure and create jobs in rural areas of the presence of ASTARTA.

IFC provides a broad suite of financial products-including loans, equity, trade finance, structured finance, and syndications-designed to promote worthy enterprises and encourage entrepreneurship.
