OREANDA-NEWS. November 8, 2012. Customers using Standard, Corporative, Trusted Partner, Exclusive or Express cards can now take out cash at over 20,000 ATMs operated by 100 banks in the United Settlement System at no extra charge

The number of bankcard holders in Russia continues to grow every year. Moreover, cards are still used most of all for drawing cash at ATMs, according to surveys conducted this summer by leading research companies Romir and NAFI.

The convenience afforded by Uniastrum Bank cards derives from an extensive network of private-label ATMs, which today numbers over 500 terminals, as well as from the Bank’s membership of the United Settlement System (USS).

Uniastrum’s own network of ATMs and payment kiosks currently totals 588, 199 of them in the Moscow region. Figures compiled by RBC rating agency show that as of July 1, 2012 the Bank was the Moscow market’s 21st biggest ATM operator. As a member of USS, Uniastrum cardholders are able to use the ATMs of other banks partnering the system on easy terms.

Uniastrum’s new cards are issued to customers who apply for the Bank’s Standard, Corporative, Trusted Partner, Exclusive, and Express products, each of which combines the functions of a credit and income-earning card and, as well allowing holders to use them to access credited funds, also enables them to save and accumulate cash.

“Scrapping fees on withdrawals from USS ATMs is yet another benefit provided by our new card range,” says Susanna Uzunyan, Head of Uniastrum’s Retail Product Division. “This means that customers now have free access to some 20,000 ATMs Russia-wide”.
