OREANDA-NEWS. November 8, 2012. A solemn ceremony dedicated to the commencement of construction took place in early October 2012. Today, the works on soil preparation for the main building are ongoing, and the main equipment is under manufacture.

Recently, a meeting has been held at the construction site with participation of Alexandr V. Ozerets, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Belarus, representatives of RUE “Minskenergo”, the End Customer, and E4 Group, the EPC Contractor. The Parties discussed main issues regarding collaboration during implementation of the project, and determined processes of manufacture and delivery of the main equipment.

It is to remind that the project includes the construction of the state-of-the-art combined cycle power plant (CCPP) with total electric capacity of 65 MW. The plant comprises Gas Turbine in a set with a 45 MW Generator; a double-drum vertical-type heat recovery steam generator with a built-in district water gas preheater and individual stack; a steam condensing turbine in a set with a 20 MW generator. The main equipment includes SGT-800 gas turbine (Siemens), SST-400 steam turbine (Siemens), as well as Steam Gen 8 heat recovery steam generator (Aalborg Engineering).
