OREANDA-NEWS. November 14, 2012. Earlier, Euromoney announced the winners of Best Precious Metal Bank in China for the year 2012, the first year of competition. Winning the award is a confirmation of ICBC's stellar performance, complete product offering and highest calibres of customer services, the best among all banks in the competition. Mr. Neil Osborn, the Group Publisher and CEO of Euromoney, came to Beijing on October 16 to present the award to ICBC, reported the press-centre of ICBC.

Every year banks around the world compete for this Award. This year, Euromoney launched the "Best Precious Metal Bank in China" Award for the first time, given the booming gold market in China in recent years and the important role of commercials banks in the market. For the "Best Precious Metal Bank in China" to ICBC this year, Euromoney acknowledged that ICBC gains acclaim for its steady progress in precious metal business and market dominance, also ICBC's expansion strategy in the business.

ICBC tops the league table in terms of both trading volume and customer number. The next move of ICBC, according to an executive with the Bank, is to embrace innovation on products and services in a bid to provide excellent services for customers to trade precious metals.
