OREANDA-NEWS. November 15, 2012. Moscow Arbitration Court confirmed a decision of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) regarding an individual entrepreneur (Eske), “Sirius” Ltd. and “Blits” Ltd., reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

On 6th April 2012, the FAS Commission found that an individual entrepreneur (Eske), “Sirius” Ltd. and “Blits” Ltd. violated Clause 2 Part 1 Article 11 of No.135-FZ Federal Law “On Protection of Competition” of 26th July 2006 – concluding and taking part in an agreement that resulted in maintaining prices at auctions.

The agreement was implemented through eight open auctions for purchasing food products for the state needs. The participants to the agreement concerted with each other and pursued the conduct strategy at the auctions that excluded participation of bona fide bidders. It enabled the violators to maintain the maximum possible level of prices at the auctions.

“We continue exposing and suppressing such violations. Hopefully, this court judgment will become a clear signal for unfair bidders that such actions are unacceptable and will enhance effective use of budgetary funds”, explained Deputy Head of FAS Anti-Cartel Department, Andrey Tenischev.
