OREANDA-NEWS. November 20, 2012. This is provided by amendments to the Winegrowing and Wine Law passed by the Parliament in the second reading.

As it was said earlier by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry of Moldova Vasile Bumacov, licensing on winegrowing and winemaking would be replaced with a new, more effective mechanism of stocktaking of economic agents which would be recorded in the Winegrowing and Winemaking Register.

The current mechanism, as well as documents required for obtaining the license and causes for its suspension and revocation are hampering the development of the winegrowing and winemaking in Moldova. Vasile Bumacov called groundless licensing of business in the area of key importance for Moldova since it exports wine.

He noted that in such European countries as France, Spain, Italy and Austria winemaking and wine selling are no licensed either.
