OREANDA-NEWS. November 20, 2012.    On November14, 2012, the IUEC off-shipped enriched uranium product (EUP) to the TVEL which will fabricate fuel assemblies for Ukraine’s nuclear power plant needs. With this, the IUEC has fulfilled its obligations in the framework of the Product Supply Agreement signed with the company’s Ukrainian shareholder, the State Concern Nuclear Fuel.

This was the first shipment by the IUEC in a series of supplies to meet long-term nuclear power needs of its shareholders.

On January 31, 2009, the Russian Federation Government issued a Resolution concerning the signing of the Agreement on the participation of the Ukrainian stakeholder in the IUEC activities. On November 16, 2009, Ukraine signed the Intergo vernmental Agreement concerning the participation of its authorized organization (the State Concern Nuclear Fuel) in the IUEC activities. On October 5, 2010, the Concern purchased 10% of shares of the IUEC. In September 2012 the IUEC for the first time imported uranium oxide concentrate as U3O8 from Ukraine.
