OREANDA-NEWS. November 20, 2012. Transaero Airlines has published its 2012 / 2013 winter timetable, which highlights the airline’s record breaking development. For the first time in its history, the route network in Transaero’s winter schedule includes 139 routes — 23 more than that for the previous winter period. A total of 37 new routes have been launched — 13 more than were launched for the winter schedule last year.

Transaero has doubled the number of direct international flights from Russian regional airports to popular leisure destinations in the World. The new schedule includes 41 route from 17 Russian cities to destinations in Thailand, Egypt, India and the United Arab Emirates.

The main highlight of the expanded regional program is Transaero’s inauguration of long-haul wide body 747 aircraft on flights from the Russian cities in the Urals and Siberia. These aircraft are now in operation on direct flights to Bangkok from Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk and Krasnoyarsk.

Another historic first is Transaero’s shift to operation of the flights from all three major Moscow airports — Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo and Vnukovo airports.

Starting with the 2012/2013 winter timetable Transaero has also launched scheduled domestic flights to Kaliningrad for the first time. The new Transaero’s flight UN155/156 operates from Moscow Domodedovo Airport.

Transaero’s second daily flight UN119/120 to Yekaterinburg has been launched from Moscow Vnukovo International Airport in addition to Transaero's existing UN109/110 flight from Moscow Domodedovo Airport.

Transaero's winter program for flights to destinations in the CIS has been also expanded. Transaero flights to Kiev are now routed to Kiev Zhulyany International Airport located within the city limits. Transaero has also added more flights on its Moscow – Donetsk route, now with up to flights 12 weekly. Moscow – Dnepropetrovsk flight now operates on daily basis instead of three times a week in previous season.

Transaero for the first time operates scheduled flights to Kazakhstan from Vnukovo International Airport. Transaero flight UN273/274 from Moscow to Astana International Airport flies every Friday and flight UN275/276 from Moscow to Almaty departs every Saturday.

On European routes, Transaero has launched regular flights to Paris, Rome, Milan, Venice, Malaga and Alicante as part of its winter schedule.

For passengers planning a weekend trip to Milan, Transaero has increased the frequency of flights to one of Europe’s most popular shopping destinations and now flies twice daily on Saturdays and Sundays. In addition to existing flights to Milan from Vnukovo International Airport, Transaero has launched flight UN355/356 from Domodedovo Airport in Moscow.

Transaero now operates one out of its two daily flights to London, flight UN353/354, from Vnukovo International Airport. Also from Vnukovo are daily flights to Pardubice and one weekly flight to Barcelona.

Transaero continues to serve traditional destinations in the US — New York, Miami and Los-Angeles. Now Transaero’s US route program has been expanded to include code-share flights jointly operated with Virgin Atlantic Airlines to Boston, Orlando, Los Angeles and San Francisco. These code-share flights are operated via London.

Transaero’s winter timetable from Sheremetyevo International Airport includes flights with Boeing 747 aircraft to some of the most popular among Russian tourists destinations such as Bangkok, Phuket, Goa, Punta Cana, Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh. New destinations on the winter timetable include flights from Moscow to Ras al-Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates.

Transaero has also launched new flights on its winter timetable from St. Petersburg to Milan, Rome and Pardubice.

For passengers preferring active holidays, Transaero has expanded its policy on the complimentary transportation of sporting equipment to include diving gear for scuba and snorkeling.
