OREANDA-NEWS. November 21, 2012.  Subsidiary of KTZ JSC "Passenger transportation" reached a million bars in ticket sales over the Internet. November 19 in Astana it was recorded millions of transactions for the purchase of a travel document electronically. The buyers were Kostanay residents Bazarbai Bisengaliev and Kanshaiym Seidalina who acquired a travel document for the train № 57 Astana-Oral.
Rail service is available online in Kazakhstan since 2009. At the initial stage of implementation 3738 passengers used the service. From year to year the number of sales increased, and in November 2012 to the same period in 2011 it increased by 13 times.
 
Service of electronic sales is actively improving. Gradually minimizes the time required passengers to buy tickets on the train.
 
Since April 2009, it is possible to purchase an electronic ticket via www.pcentre.kz. Since January 2011 a service ticket for the non-cash transaction in 25 kiosks at railway stations in Astana, Almaty-1, 2, Karagandy, Aktobe, Shymkent, Taraz, Zaschita, Semei, Kyzylorda, Atyrau, Pavlodar, Kostanay were introduced. In addition, electronic ticket sale is available through a network of self-service terminals (SST). The service is available from March 2012 and allows to buy tickets for cash through a network of 2.5 thousand SSTs in the country.
 
Starting this year a new service of electronic registration of passengers on the train "Tulpar" running from Astana to Almaty was introduced A passenger who has acquired an e-ticket online and the payment terminal can pass the gate by showing only an identity card without reference to the cashier. Before the end of the year this service will be additionally introduced in 5 trains: № 9/10, № 151/152, № 87/88, № 25/26 and number 47/48.
