OREANDA-NEWS. November 23, 2012. Promsvyazbank has been named the most innovative bank in 2012, according to the results of the Eurasian Bank Survey conducted by the magazine Business New Europe (BNE) for the sixth year running, reported the press-centre of Promsvyazbank.

Promsvyazbank has been recognised for its continued development of new products, processes and technologies, as well as the improvement of existing ones.

For the second year in a row Promsvyazbank organised the Innovation Forum, involving more than 300 employees of PSB from across Russia, as well as leading experts from some of the world’s most innovative companies. At the Forum participants discuss the challenges and prospects of PSB’s development and examine new ideas and projects.

In May 2012, the bank launched the "Bank of Ideas" - an internal website for the employees to come forward with their own ideas. The website was developed on a Spigit platform and is based on the crowd sourcing mechanism. Its implementation has allowed PSB to form a portal giving all employees the opportunity to offer ideas and suggestions. From inception the website has proved popular within the bank and in less than 6 months there have already been more than 1,200 unique ideas suggested.

In the near future PSB plans to launch an external platform based on the “Bank of Ideas", to allow the bank's clients to participate in the product development and offer their own ideas.

This summer Promsvyazbank became the first company in Russia and the CIS countries to launch a co-branding credit card – ‘Angry Card’ together with Rovio (developer of the Angry Birds game) and Irsol (official distributor and agent of the game developer Rovio in Russia in CIS). In September, the bank launched the online store of the credit cards where each card can be ordered with an individual design. There are more than 1,300 different designs of the cards and it is also possible to create individual designs. Clients have uploaded more than 700 cards with their own unique designs.

Promsvyazbank plans to further develop new products and services for its clients and employees, the Bank's goal is to become a leader in innovation in the Russian banking sector.
