OREANDA-NEWS. November 26, 2012. TNK-BP announces that International Air Transport Association (IATA) has upgraded its quality control system and service level ratings for Koltsovo Fuel Filling Complex (Yekaterinburg), reported the press-centre of ТNК-ВР.

Since the acquisition of Koltsovo Fuel Filling Complex, Russia's fifth largest fuel filling complex, in March this year, TNK-BP has been implementing an integrated FFC development program. Within the framework of the complete overhaul scheduled to be completed over the next three years, the Company will allocate more than RUR 600 mln to modernize the complex, expand the range of services offered to air carriers, and improve the quality of those services. IATA rating upgrade is the first independent confirmation of the program efficiency.

IATA regularly examines fuel filling complexes, looking at the state of repair of their facilities and equipment and at jet fuel supply procedures used by airports; it also verifies that corporate management and administrative control mechanisms adequately support fuel and service quality levels consistent with declared service classifications.

"IATA is the most reputable organization in the aviation industry, and its evaluation gives all air transport market players a clear picture of the actual quality of FFC, airport or air company products and services. Based on the findings of a detailed audit, IATA has promoted Koltsovo FFC to the green sector, the highest level in the current classification. Qualitative improvements are the result of purposeful efforts by the entire FFC team, and they represent a major step forward in the development of our business in this region," said Andrey Gigovsky, General Director, Koltsovo FFC.
