OREANDA-NEWS. November 26, 2012. TNK-BP has announced that in the 9 months of 2012 its investments in the development of oil producing assets in the Orenburg Region increased to RUR 31, 9 bln against RUR 30 bln for the entire 2011, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

TNK-BP is involved in a large-scale program of brownfield production stabilization – Orenburgneft and Buguruslanneft deposits have been developed for over 75 years and are now one of the oldest producing units in Russia.

The maintenance of planned production levels in such assets has become possible due to a comprehensive program for increased performance, use of advanced technological solutions, and joint activities with the regional government authorities. The Company has been investing in new production technologies, capital construction, upgrade of facilities and expansion of existing capacity. As a result, since 2002 the Company has doubled oil production in the Orenburg Region, and in 2011 it reached the record high of 20.3 mln tons of crude.

TNK-BP is a major investor and the biggest taxpayer in the Orenburg Region. In 2011 the Company contributed RUR 12.5 bln to the regional consolidated budget – the highest figure in the entire history of Company business in the Orenburg Region.
