OREANDA-NEWS. November 29, 2012. Ukrainian agricultural producers continue to maintain high rates of grain exports. So, as of November 26, agricultural producers have exported 11.5 million tons of grain, including 5.4 million tons of wheat, 4.1 million tons of maize and 1.7 million tons of barley. This was announced by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Prysyazhnyuk.

"We see that Ukraine is entrusted with the important task, as one of the leading exporters of grain. Due to a difficult climatic conditions and crop failure in many countries, the situation on the world grain market is still quite difficult. I note that Ukrainian agricultural producers from the start of the new marketing year scored high rates of grain exports and continue to carry out its external obligations. In particular, as of November 26, agricultural producers exported 11.5 million tons of grain. This is quite a significant figure", Mykola Prysyazhnyuk.

The Minister informed that at present the export of wheat is 5.4 million tons, corn - 4.1 million tons, barley - 1.7 million tons. According to Mykola Prysyazhnyuk, grain elevators in the port now is 1.1 million tons of grain, and loaded onto ships another 206 000 tons. Thus, the volume of exports and prepared for export of grain was 12.8 million tons.

"I would like in-depth look on the rate of export of wheat. In particular, in September, Ukrainian farmers exported 1.3 million tons of wheat in October - 1.4 million tons, and from the beginning of November, it was delivered to other countries more than 1.3 million tons. So, do we have retained their positions on foreign markets and major customers, while continuing to successfully perform the contract terms", said Mykola Prysyazhnyuk.
