OREANDA-NEWS. November 30, 2012. Belarus’ foreign trade surplus amounted to USD 3.687 billion in January-September 2012, compared to a USD 1.013 billion deficit in January-September 2011, according to the website of the National Bank of Belarus.

The overall turnover of commodities and services reached USD 77.043 billion in January-September 2012, up 11.5% on the year.

Exports of commodities and services rose 18.6% to USD 40.365 billion, and imports increased 4.7% to USD 36.678 billion.

Commodity trade surplus reached USD 1.664 billion in January-September 2012 to compare with a USD 2.798 billion deficit in January-September 2011 (USD 35.52 billion of exports, up 19.3% on the year, and USD 33.856 billion of imports, up 3.9%), and service trade surplus amounted to USD 2.022 billion, up 13.3% on year (USD 4.845 billion of exports, up 14%, and USD 2.823 billion of imports, up 14.6%).
