In the frame of the International indusrial exhibition “Metal-Expo 2102”, a Russian metallurgical company SMK and a Russian aircraft engine manufacturer NPO Saturn signed a long-term agreement (slated for the period from 2013 to 2015) for supply of refractory components. The overall agreement revenue will amount to approximately two billion rubles over a three-year time period.

“The agreement we signed with NPO Saturn is a gateway to a completely new level of strategic interaction with our partners within the ODK group, – said Vladimir Chertovikov, SMK MC Ltd. General manager, commenting the deal. – The long-term contract guarantees the fixed terms and conditions of supply and resulting payments which will in turn allow the customer to get the required number of engines on time at a fixed price while keeping us busy with work and allowing us to pre-plan our production capacity as well as to enter into long-term agreements with our suppliers while globally stabilizing the adopted supply chain from raw materials to the final product”.

Ilya Fedorov, NPO Saturn CEO stated, “SMK has long been a reliable partner for NPO Saturn when it comes to supply of the needed raw materials, however it is the first time that we have entered into a long-term supply agreement with them and that brings our relationship to a brand new level. A three-year partnership will warrant the on-time supply of raw materials and consequently the timely delivery of the aircraft engines to our customers”.
