OREANDA-NEWS. December 3, 2012. PhosAgro (or "the Company") (Moscow Exchange, LSE: PHOR), a leading global vertically integrated phosphate-based fertilizer producer, announces that in 1Q 2013 it plans to decrease production volumes of DAP and MAP fertilisers by over 17% compared to 1Q 2012, while increasing NPK and NPS production by more than 20% compared to 1Q 2012.

PhosAgro expects total production volumes in 1Q 2013 to remain at the same level as in 1Q 2012.

PhosAgro CEO Maxim Volkov said: “An increase in domestic and international demand for complex fertilisers is expected at the beginning of the next year. Due to our flexible production model that allows us to produce different types of products on the same production lines we plan to focus on production of complex fertilisers, which enjoy higher demand than DAP and MAP. We expect to be one of the largest NPK producers in Russia this year and intend to further strengthen our leadership in this segment through modernisation of our production facilities and increases to our product assortment.
