OREANDA-NEWS. December 04, 2012. ICBC won the "Excellence in Personal Internet Banking" Award for the year 2012, at a competition sponsored by Hexun.com in collaboration with a third party company. Apart from wining the prestigious award, ICBC also won three category awards: Most Popular, Best User Experience, and Best Wealth Management. This marks ICBC's fifth year running to win Hexun's Internet Banking awards since its launch. The awards demonstrate customer and peer recognition on ICBC's Electronic Banking, reported the press-centre of ICBC.

Hexun.com is the largest financial and economic web portal in China. A matrix of 4 indices ("Popularity", "Cost", "Platform", "Services") and 300 sub-indices were used to measure the performance of Personal Internet Banking from 27 banks, without referring the nomination material submitted by the participating banks. Votings from the netizens and opinions from the experts were taken into consideration and given weight during the 4-month decision making process. ICBC Personal Internet Banking sat on top of the league tables and awarded the accolades.

ICBC Internet Banking puts the customers at all else, bringing the convenience of online banking services to the door step of its customers while maintaining robust growth. As of September, 2012, ICBC had 130 million personal customers using online banking services, ranking No.1 in same trade.
