OREANDA-NEWS. December 4, 2012. TRANSNEFT finished dredging works in the water area of oil loading export terminal “Koz’mino Special marine oil port”, the Company reported.

The passport of mooring No.2 that has been mounted under the project of building of the second part of Koz’mino, was passed to the Administration of Vostochny port. For the moment, mostly tankers of 100 thousand tons deadweight are being serviced in the port. After termination of the building works, mooring No.2 will be capable to accept tankers of up to 120 thousand tons deadweight. The first shipping from mooring No. 2 is to be done before November 15. Mooring No.1 was put into operation in the end of 2009 in Koz’mino, and it can accept tankers of 150 thousand tons deadweight.

Construction of the second mooring, the dredging works in the water area, and the building of an additional metering system will allow to increase the quantity of oil dispatched through the East Siberia – Pacific Ocean (ESPO) system twice, up to 30 million tons of oil per year.
