OREANDA-NEWS. December 06, 2012. The Supervisory Board of DTEK appointed former Technical Director Sergey Bublikov the General Director of DTEK Dniprooblenergo.

“The main areas of strategic development for DTEK Group companies supplying electricity to Ukrainian consumers are client service improvement and development and upgrading of advanced automated electricity metering and payment systems,” said Igor Maslov, the Electricity Distribution and Sales Director. “This is a pre-requisite for efficiency of the modern business along with a large-scale equipment upgrading, transition to a new management model, and economically sound investment portfolio management. This is why the Supervisory Board decided to appoint to the position of the General Director of DTEK Dniprooblenergo the person who is not only a strong manager, but also an experienced technician knowing the company and the region.”

The new General Director will face two main tasks. The first one – the more challenging but vital for DTEK Dniprooblenergo’s sustainable development – is to continue the large-scale upgrading of power equipment and to implement a series of projects aimed at reducing network losses, optimizing the load and backing up electricity supply sources.

The second task is to improve the quality of services provided to clients, enable more connections for new consumers, optimize client requests processing and develop innovative online solutions. To ensure high collections from consumers for supplied electricity also remains a very important task.

From 2013 to 2015, DTEK Dniprooblenergo plans to invest 1.8 billion hryvnias in network upgrades and customer service improvement.

“I joined DTEK Dniprooblenergo more than 13 years ago. I rose from the electric fitter to the general director and know everything about this business,” said Sergey Bublikov. “I believe that my experience will be of use to the company during its large-scale technical upgrade. The company is going to further develop its core business areas and implement best management practices brought here by DTEK. Our task is to become one of Ukraine’s best energy supplying companies, and I believe we will do it.”
