OREANDA-NEWS. December 6, 2012. ABBYY launched a new version of its comprehensive mobile dictionary application for fast and accurate translation of words and phrases — ABBYY Lingvo 3.0 for Android®. The product now fully supports not only smartphones but also tablets running on the increasingly popular Android operating system. The application offers new user interface that has been considerably revised in accordance with the latest versions of Android OS (4.0 and later) and now takes into account, for example, even the absence of the ‘Menu’ button on the Android devices, providing access to menu options within the software.

In addition, the new version of ABBYY Lingvo dictionary comes with a number of less “visible” yet quite significant changes designed to increase user convenience and general efficiency when working with the app. For example, users do not have to look for the history of their search/translation requests in a separate section of Lingvo anymore. List of recent translation requests is now displayed right below the input field when it is blank.

With the new features and support for over 250 dictionaries and 30 translation languages, ABBYY Lingvo is now more intuitive, convenient and enjoyable to work with, maintaining its status as reliable assistant at work, leisure, study, and travel.

Availability and Compatible Devices

ABBYY Lingvo 3.0 for Android is available at Google Play (previously Android Market) with the price of USD 2.99 for the basic version. The application includes English and Russian interface languages and is compatible with devices running on Android 2.2 or later.
