OREANDA-NEWS. December 10, 2012. The Ministry of Education of Moldova completed negotiations on the signing of the financing agreement with the International Development Association – the part of the World Bank. The reforms in the educational system of Moldova are designed to support efforts of the government to improve quality of education in the country.

The bulk of the funds, provided by WB, are meant for rehabilitation of infrastructure of 94 regional schools and their equipment with furniture, computers and other devices. In the framework of the program, trainings of teachers and managers, modernization of the information system for appraising educational management and consolidation of the system for testing and evaluating knowledge will also be backed.

The project is to be submitted to the Board of Directors of the World Bank on January, 24, 2013. Then the financing agreement is to be ratified by members of the Parliament of Moldova.
