OREANDA-NEWS. December 11, 2012. Companies in Rapla County who are SEB corporate clients see innovation activities as most important in their activities in 2013, a flash survey of corporate clients in the county conducted by SEB indicates, reported the press-centre of SEB.

Of the 30 companies who responded, 87 per cent are planning innovation in the coming year. Small enterprises with up to 20 employees prevail among the companies planning innovation of products or services.

All of the respondents in Rapla County foresee an increase in turnover, and 87 per cent believe that turnover will increase by up to ten per cent.

Of the respondents in the county, 20 per cent are planning to increase their activity in export markets next year. Investment are planned in the coming year by 80 per cent of the companies, with 53 per cent planning investments exceeding EUR 30,000 - in comparison with other counties these indicators are above average.

17 per cent of the respondents are planning to hire new employees and 80 per cent will not make any changes in their staff numbers. Approximately 10 jobs will be added next year by the companies in Rapla county who took part in the survey.

This October and November, SEB is carrying out an ambitious consultancy project that will see the bank’s representatives call on approximately 900 of Estonia’s small and medium-size enterprises, in all 15 counties. They will be travelling Estonia’s roads in ten Smart minis decked out in SEB’s livery, which will also serve as a reminder about the importance of green transport.
As part of the consultancy project, SEB will also conduct a survey asking companies in the counties to estimate their developments in turnover, changes in staff numbers, export and innovation plans, and proposed investments in 2013.
