The Hazelett Continuous Casting and Rolling Line for Aluminum Sheet of Henan Yichuan Yugang Longquan Aluminum Industry Co., Ltd. was successfully put into production on November 28, 2012. The overall technical process design and engineering design work was undertaken by BERIS Engineering & Research Corp. (BERIS), reported the press-centre of MCC Group.

The device has produced quality 5052 alloy aluminum sheet complying with the relevant standards, symbolizing that the first set of Hazelett Continuous Casting and Rolling Line of China, which has attracted keen attention in this industry, has been proved to be in compliance with the design target.

The technical process of Hazelett Continuous Casting and Rolling Line is featured by low investment, wide application of the product, high rate of finished metal products, energy conservation and low costs. In this view, it enjoys the majority market share in the North America. After a bunch of market investigation and technical exchanges, Henan Yichuan Yugang Longquan Aluminum Industry Co., Ltd. takes the lead in adopting this advanced technology in China.

This works was completed and put into commissioning in 2011, and then the alloy of No. 1, No. 3 and No. 8 series were successfully produced, with perfect physical quality in compliance with the requirements of the relevant standards. The alloy of No. 5 series is characterized by complicated compounds, poor metal fluidity and high fused difficulty. Through various measures such as optimizing of fusion casting and rolling technology, enhancing the melt purification efficiency and adjusting the equipment structure, BERIS eventually generated the qualified 5052 alloy aluminum sheet.
