OREANDA-NEWS. December 12, 2012. "Orkla Brands Russia" was announced a winner of prestigious business contest “Company of the Year” in nomination “Confectionary Industry”.

Annual national contest "Company of the Year" — is known both as the most remarkable event in Russian business life and public action, summarizing the results of the year. It was arranged in the beginning of 1990-ies by RBC Group under the support of the Ministry of Economic Development and was aimed at distinguishing achievements of the best representatives of Russian Business Industry. This Prize is given to the most prominent and dynamic companies in the market that show profitability, intense development, stable position in the market and correspondence to international corporate standards.

On November 27, 2012 expert council of the contest consisting of over hundred authoritative representatives from business community, state authorities and public associations acknowledged confectionary company "Orkla Brands Russia" the winner in nomination "Confectionary Industry".

Choice of the winners from over 250 candidates in 22 main and 25 special nominations was made on the basis of such criteria as: correspondence to international standards, quality of management and manufactured products or services provided, information and finance transparency, market activity, innovative approach, professional level of the team, social responsibility of the company as well as potential of its development in the industry of nomination. Such well known Russian companies as "GMK Norilsky Nickel", "Sberbank of Russia", "Aeroflot — Russian airlines", trade network "Eldorado" and many others participated in the contest this year, and "Orkla Brands Russia" managed to win in "Confectionary Industry" nomination, where other candidates for the victory were "United Confectionaries" group and "Ferrero Russia".

CEO of the company Vadim Ter-Israelyan acknowledged this victory but is not going to stop half-way: "Reputational factory is now becoming one of the most important for the company growth, and our victory in such a professional contest has become for us very important. During the last year a lot of our efforts were aimed at adaptation of confectionary brands to the realities of contemporary market. We tried to create correct combination of traditional quality that we received as a heritage from former generations with the modern technologies which make an integral part of our today’s life. Our victory in this ceremony once again underlines importance of the work we have done so far and motivates us for future achievements in confectionary market.
