OREANDA-NEWS. December 14, 2012. Environmental Control Laboratory of JSC "Grindeks" has received the accreditation certificate ISO 17025 from the Latvian National Accreditation Bureau. The received accreditation certifies the proficiency of the Environmental Control Laboratory of "Grindeks" in work environment testing (lighting, microclimate, noise), as well as in selective analysis of volatile compounds and active substances` dust in the air of work environment.

Being a socially responsible company, "Grindeks" constantly improves its operations and production processes in order to increase production quality and to protect natural environment. Implementing the Environmental and Occupational Safety Policy, the company pays special attention to these areas. In order to receive a certificate of accreditation, in the beginning of 2012, the Quality Manual, the Policy of Environmental Control Laboratory, descriptions of processes and specific measurement methods were developed, a number of internal audits and accreditation pre-audit were made. In its turn, already in November, after the Latvian National Accreditation Bureau audits, "Grindeks" Environmental Control Laboratory was awarded with the accreditation certificate.

The received accreditation certificate is a proof that the work environment measurements and testing made by the Environmental Control Laboratory is carried out in accordance with ISO / IEC 17025:2005 standard and the requirements of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Latvia.

The basic task of the Environmental Control Laboratory is to carry out measurements and analyses in order create favourable working conditions for the employees of "Grindeks" and reduce risks that may affect the natural environment. In the Laboratory`s work a unique equipment and methods are used, and a highly qualified personnel is employed.
