OREANDA-NEWS. December 14, 2012. Renaissance Capital, the leading emerging markets investment bank, has appointed John Hyman as Chairman and CEO and Igor Vayn as CEO. Together, Hyman and Vayn will drive the Firm’s pan-emerging markets strategy.

Hyman, a 20-year veteran of emerging markets investment banking, joined Renaissance Capital in 2011 to lead the global investment banking business. He was appointed deputy CEO in June 2012.

Vayn joins Renaissance Capital from Otkritie Capital, where he served as CEO from 2011. In 2007-2010, he was Head of Equity Operations at Renaissance Capital. Vayn worked as Head of Sales at Deutsche Bank Russia in 2006-2007, and as Vice President of United Financial Group in 1997-2006.

On 14 November 2012, Onexim Group, a leading diversified investment company in Russia, announced that it had agreed to purchase Renaissance Capital. The transaction is subject to regulatory consents in the jurisdictions where these companies operate.
