OREANDA-NEWS. December 17, 2012. The servicing company CJSC Natsionalnaya Industrialno-Torgovaya Palata (“NITP”), a Mostotrest subsidiary, has won a number of auctions for the repair and maintenance of public roads. As a result of the auctions, over the last month NITP entered into the government contracts with federal public institution Tsentravtomagistral and federal public institution Rossiya Highway Administration for the total value of 18.9 billion roubles (including VAT).

Under the terms of the government contracts from 1 January 2013 to 30 June 2018, NITP will be maintaining existing sections of the federal public roads M-5 “Ural”, A-107 (Small Moscow Ring), A-108 (Big Moscow Ring), A-130 (Moscow-Maloyaroslavets-Roslovl), M-8 “Kholmogory,” M-9 “Baltiya,” A-109 (Ilyinskoe Highway), A-105 (access road to Domodedovo Airport), M-4 “Don”, R-22 “Caspian” and M-10 “Russia”. The contracts involve a range of works to repair the roadway, paint lines and replace road signs, barrier rails and guiding devices (signal posts) as well as to provide maintenance for lighting systems and traffic lights.

The provision of road repair and maintenance services using own in-house capabilities is a new area of activities for Mostotrest. NITP was acquired in July 2012 in accordance with Mostotrest’s strategy to diversify into related business segments in order to respond to the market developing towards full life cycle and road operating contracts.

Mostotrest (including LLC Corporation Engtransstroy and LLC TRANSSTROYMEKHANISATSIYA) is the largest diversified infrastructure and bridge-building company in Russia. According to EMBS Group, the independent industry consultancy, Mostotrest had an 8.6% share of the total Russian infrastructure construction market in 2011 (excluding road maintenance and rehabilitation). Mostotrest’s core competences include construction and rehabilitation of automobile, railway and urban bridges, automobile roads and other transport infrastructure.

The company was established in 1930 as a developer of complex and oversized bridges, and has built and rehabilitated more than 7,500 infrastructure projects (bridges, flyovers, tunnels and interchanges) to date.

Mostotrest is currently implementing major infrastructure development projects across Russia, including transport infrastructure for the 2014 Sochi Olympics, Enthusiasts Avenue traffic interchange in Moscow, as well as infrastructure projects along M-4 Don, M-7 Volga and other highways.
