OREANDA-NEWS. December 19, 2012. Ukraine will closely work with EU’s recommendations to improve the legal system and in this context the Government is ready to cooperation and compromise with opposition.

This was stated by Prime Minister Mykola Azarov at a meeting with former Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski and former President of the European Parliament Pat Cox.

PM stressed that Ukraine considers that assessment of the situation in the country made on the meetings of the Council of Ministers of the EU and the European Parliament is generally positive. "We will closely work with voiced recommendations to improve the legal system in Ukraine, in particular, the electoral system," – M. Azarov said, adding that in this work the Government is ready to a broad compromise with the opposition.

In turn, Pat Cox said, if the EU decides on the continuation of the European observer mission, he and Alexander Kwasniewski is ready to assist in this matter. "We could make a contribution to the establishment of such a dialogue, which would allow bringing the Association Agreement", Pat Cox said.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine supported the initiative.

Aleksander Kwasniewski, in this context, gave an example of countries which has recently joined the European Union, particularly Poland and the Baltic countries, where "it was the unity of all political parties to make the necessary reforms."
