OREANDA-NEWS. December 20, 2012. SCM has supported Ukraine: the Best Investment Opportunities forum held in Washington. Director of International and Investor Relations of SCM Jock Mendoza-Wilson talked about Ukraine’s investment appeal at one of the conference sessions.

SCM has supported Ukraine: the Best Investment Opportunities forum hosted in Washington by the State Agency for Investment and National Projects of Ukraine and the Embassy of Ukraine to the USA. The goal of the event was to tell potential investors what modern Ukraine is like both economically and culturally.

Among the speakers were such Ukraine’s top officials as the Minister of Finance Yuriy Kolobov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Kostyantyn Hryshchenko, the Minister of Agriculture Mykola Prysyazhnyuk, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine Eduard Stavytsky, the Minister of Culture Mykhailo Kuliniak, etc. SCM Director of International and Investor Relations Jock Mendoza-Wilson spoke at Business Builds a Better Ukraine discussion panel and talked about Ukraine’s investment advantages.

“Generally the business climate at a micro level is improving in Ukraine with legislative and regulatory changes in customs and in the tax system. This has been reflected in Ukraine’s improved positions in the WEF Global Competitive Index, etc. SCM remains confident of the underlying strength and opportunities of the Ukrainian economy and we will continue to invest in Ukraine contributing to the country’s economic and social development”, noted Jock Mendoza-Wilson.
