OREANDA-NEWS. December 21, 2012. Due to mass production of AN-70, AN-148, AN-158 the Antonov Company in the past two years created 1.5 thousand new jobs. This was announced by Vice President − Director of subsidiary of Antonov Company "Antonov Serial plant" Mykola Podgrebelnyi during Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov’s familiarization with the course of serial production of the AN-70.

"Over the past two years were employed 1.5 thousand workers. And this is not the limit. We plan in 2013-2014 to employ at least another thousand workers", he said.

Mykola Podgrebelnyi added that due to serial production of aircraft workers receive their wages on time, which are constantly growing. It also allows developing social infrastructure of the Company. In particular, he said, was restored camp in Concha Zaspa that over the past ten years has not worked. Now put into operation a kindergarten for 320 places.

"I want to thank you, Mr. Azarov, because you personally and the Government pays great attention to aviation production. Staff of "Antonov Serial plant" with the parent Antonov Company will meet your expectations and produce aircraft in volumes, as it was in Soviet times"- said Vice President − Director of subsidiary of Antonov Company "Antonov Serial plant".

In turn, Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said that Ukraine fought for serial production of the An-70 since 1993 year: "And finally, the first serial fuselage rolls to snap. It is really a happy event for us. "Mykola Azarov said that the AN-70 has a large market and we have most need in air transport of this type.

"During this difficult period, we stand a competition with major aircraft corporations and so far we are ahead of them in terms of market entry of serial AN-70. According its characteristics and the ability to transport any cargo and mechanisms, including military equipment, it stays ahead of the competition and it has a huge demand. And if there is a demand we will have the work", Mykola Azarov said.

He noted that the AN-70 is one of examples of fruitful cooperative partnership with Russia.
