OREANDA-NEWS. December 25, 2012. METALLOINVEST (“the Company”), a leading global iron ore and HBI producer, announced that it has introduced a new Company brand.

The new logo resembles an open-pit mine and symbolises the mining segment, the main component of the Company’s business. METALLOINVEST has the second largest proven iron ore reserves globally – approximately 14.9 billion tonnes, according to the international JORC classification, which guarantees about 150 years of mining based on the present day yield.

The Company’s new logo is styled to appear as a sign of eternity, reflecting the “eternity” of reserves and the ongoing development of the business. The new logo’s palette reflects the colour of ore, and the cold and red-hot constituency of metal, uniting the mining and metallurgical components of the business.

Interbrand, a leading international agency, carried out the Company’s brand re-design.

The active development of METALLOINVEST has allowed the Company to occupy a deserved position amongst the largest international producers and suppliers of iron ore products. The management company coordinates the production, investment and commercial policies, leading to market synergies and increasing production efficiency. The rebranding has enabled the Company to reflect the consolidation of all METALLOINVEST’s businesses and present them under one structure. The new brand embodies the change in METALLOINVEST’s philosophy of the business, scale and development perspectives.”
