OREANDA-NEWS. December 25, 2012. Ilim Garant Corporate Charity Fund has endorsed its priorities and programs for 2013. Ilim Group will finance the projects in the Irkutsk, Arkhangelsk and Vologda Oblasts and in Komi Republic, where Ilim Group traditionally operates.

The priorities of the Fund for 2013 include support of children's and amateur sports and development of educational programs and facilities for kids in the regions. In keeping with the established tradition, Ilim Garant will provide its help and support for orphans and disabled kids, supply expensive equipment for health care institutions, support cultural and creative projects, and, as usual, take care of retired veterans, former employees of the Company.

In 2013 a new corporate grant system will be introduced in all key locations of the Company - Bratsk, Ust-Ilimsk and Koryazhma. This initiative will facilitate the development of new, creative ideas and projects in the field of children's sports and healthcare.

Starting from 2013 Ilim Group will organize two traditional Ilim Cup Tournaments for kids: a basketball tournament between school teams from the south of the Arkhangelsk Oblast in Koryazhma, and an inter-regional judo tournament between children's teams from Bratsk, Ust-Ilimsk and Koryazhma. These tournaments were first organized and successfully held in 2012 and positive feedback from the community prompted the Company to hold them on a regular basis.

Traditional projects, however, will not be abandoned and respective funds will be allocated by the Company in an amount exceeding the 2012 funding. In particular, more funds will be allocated to support disabled children and other disabled persons and finance youth sport and amateur sport support programs. At the same time financing of aid programs for orphans is planned to be reduced due to the positive trend towards decrease of the number of kids in the orphanages.
