Interbrand, an internationally known brand consultancy, published the “List of Most Valuable Chinese Brands 2012” in Beijing, in which Bank of China ranked the fifth with a brand value of RMB 78.88 billion, an increase of 8% compared with its brand value of last year.

Established in 1974, Interbrand is the largest brand consulting company worldwide. Since 1984, Interbrand has initiated brand value research in the industry and developed an analysis system famous in the industry for its strategic management value. The “List of Most Valuable Chinese Brands 2012” is the fifth program released by Interbrand for Chinese market, which adopts financial materials audited by independent third party and comprehensive customer research and market data to select the top 50 of the most valuable Chinese brands.
