OREANDA-NEWS. December 26, 2012. The anti-crisis fund of the Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC) has approved a fourth, USD 440 million tranche to Belarus, Russia’s Finance Minister Anton Siluanov told reporters.

The next tranche of the credit will be pegged to the progress Belarus will have made in the sphere of state property privatization, Siluanov said.

The need for EDB credit resources was prompted by gross economic misbalances, a critical level of gold and currency resources and high inflation growth, Belarus’ Finance Minister Andrei Kharkovets told reporters on Friday.

Belarus, hit by a financial crisis in 2011, has agreed to receive a USD 3 billion stabilization loan from the fund in several tranches from 2011 to 2013.

The fund has already disbursed USD 800 million and two USD 440 million tranches of the bailout to Belarus.
