OREANDA-NEWS. December 26, 2012. In Moscow Domodedovo Airport the seventh check-in island consisting of 20 check-in desks went into service. The total amount of check-in desks reached 160 units (including the check-in desks for passengers without luggage and with oversized luggage).

The acceptance rate of the new check-in island is 800 passengers and 1200 luggage units per hour that significantly increases the airport acceptance rate. This is particularly important on the threshold of New Year holidays – the traditional "peak season" for the airport.

The method of check-in desks position considers the practice of the world’s best airports, according to which the island form is recognized as the most effective and comfortable for air travelers.

To improve the quality of passenger service, Domodedovo continues the active implementation of modern check-in services - at present 47 CUSS (Common Use Self Service) kiosks and terminal equipment Reprint (which reads data from mobile phones and prints boarding cards) operate in the air terminal building.
