OREANDA-NEWS. December 26, 2012. In Ukraine, there will be no shortages of vitally important imported medicines in connection with the entry into force from 1 January 2013 of the Cabinet Resolution, according to which into Ukraine can be imported only those drugs having a certificate of GMP confirmed by the State Service of Ukraine on Medicinal Products. This was announced by Oleksiy Soloviev, Head of the State Service of Ukraine for Medicinal Products at a press conference in Kyiv on December 25, 2012.

"The only our requirement to global pharmaceutical companies - that our patient has also been provided with so guarantee which one is provided by these companies for the citizens of the European Union. We stand firmly in this position," Oleksiy Soloviev pointed out.

According to him, in early December the State Service for Medicinal Products conducted an analysis of the pharmaceutical market in preventing a shortage of drugs that have not yet received confirmation of presence in them of GMP. "There were negotiations with pharmaceutical manufacturers of these drugs - companies from France, Italy, and India. They created in December of a year, and in some cases - 2-years stock of medicines, which are not produced in Ukraine," said Oleksiy Soloviev. "These companies will give all documentation during the first quarter of 2013 in order to obtain confirmation, which indicates that they really produce medicines under GMP," Oleksiy Soloviev underscored.
