OREANDA-NEWS. December 26, 2012.  November Azerbaijan, which keeps on remaining a net exporter of electric power for the fourth year running, increased electric power export resumed in July.

The State Customs Committee reports that according to electric meters’ data for Jan-Nov 2012 electric power export from the country totaled 329.19 million kWh, including 11.339 million in November, 11.606 million in October and 107.548 million kWh in March (this year’s best index).

Registration on customs entries (power export) for Jan-Nov 2012 reached 473.09 million kWh for USD 24.2 million, including 38.08 million kWh for USD 1.995 million (this year’s best financial indicator of export) versus 9.268 million kWh for USD 509,760 in October and 65.3 million kWh for USD 990,880 in May (this year’s best index). As a result, this year the country has exported electricity at the price of USD 0.0512 per kWh, including USD 0.0524 kWh in November. The March price (USD 0.07195 per kWh) is still the highest for 2011-12.

In 2011 delivery for export made up 416.87 million kWh, including 12.09 million kWh in December and 107.307 million in April (best index for the past year). At that, according to customs entries, it was exported 794.497 million kWh for USD 40.1 million last year, including 56.756 million kWh for USD 3.04 million in December.

Thus, in 2011 the country exported power at the price of USD 0.0505 and in December at USD 0.0536 per kWh. The highest export price was registered in May 2011 - USD 0.07 per kWh.
