OREANDA-NEWS. December 26, 2012. The Ufa branch of the Bank of Moscow was opened on 25 December 2006. Throughout the 6 years in the Bashkortostan financial service market the branch of the Bank of Moscow has proven to be a reliable financial partner for the people, businesses and Government of the Republic.

With due regard for the attractiveness of the regional market (the Republic of Bashkortostan is among the five major Russian credit and resource markets in terms of completed transactions), the Bank of Moscow plans to become a leader in servicing small and medium businesses.

Radik Akhmetshin, the new director of the Ufa branch of the Bank of Moscow, is called in to implement those ambitious plans. Radik Akhmetshin is well known in the region, he occupied leading positions in the branches of such banks as NOMOS-BANK, ROSBANK, Uniastrum Bank, AKIBANK, Alpha-Bank.

In accordance with the preliminary results of the branch’s work in the current year, the small and medium size business sector credit portfolio has grown by more than twice reaching 1.27 billion RUR. The small and medium size business clients’ resources attracted by the branch have grown by 10 times reaching 1.15 billion RUR.

One of the priority directions in the work of the branches of the Bank of Moscow is retail business. The amount of the individual clients’ resources attracted by the Ufa branch in this year have grown by 8.6% and reached 81.8 million RUR. Since 1 December 2011 the retail credit portfolio has grown by more than 10%.

The ATM network of the Bank of Moscow in the Republic is represented by 8 ATMs (with 4 of them being equipped with the cash receipt function). 130 VTB Group ATMs make life more convenient for the city’s population. It should be reminded that in 2011 the ATM networks of the Bank of Moscow, TransCreditBank and VTB24 Bank were united all over the territory of Russia. The fee for plastic card cash withdrawals and restrictions pertaining to cash transactions were cancelled in the Group’s ATMs.

In September 2012 Rustem Khamitov, President of the Republic of Bashkortostan, and Mikhail Kuzovlev, President and Chairman of the Bank of Moscow signed a cooperation agreement between the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan and OAO the Bank of Moscow with the purpose of social and economic development of the Republic. The agreement covers the following directions of cooperation: implementation of the national programmes, government procurement in the electronic form, development of crediting of legal entities and individuals, reformation of the housing and public utility services, development of joint investment programmes, attracting of private Russian and foreign investments to the Republic.
