OREANDA-NEWS. December 27, 2012. Deutsche Bank won two accolades at the Mergermarket European M&A Awards this week: Russia/CIS Financial Advisor of the Year and Germany Financial Adviser of the Year.

The awards are judged by an independent panel that considers factors including the strategic and innovative nature of deals advised on during the previous 12 months and come at the end of a successful year for the Bank’s Russia & CIS M&A and franchises.

Deutsche Bank Russia has advised on some of the largest and complex M&A transactions this year with clients increasingly recognising the Bank as a one-stop solution provider.

Landmark mandates included acting as financial adviser to Sberbank on its USD 3.5bn acquisition of Turkish DenizBank, the largest cross-border acquisition by a Russian bank; and sole financial adviser and fairness opinion provider for TeliaSonera on its USD10.1bn shareholders agreement on dividend payment and sale of shares in MegaFon.
