OREANDA-NEWS. December 27, 2012. Oleg Sazanov has been appointed head of the International and Regional Development Department at the World Trade Center (Moscow).

Prior to taking this latest position, Mr. Sazanov served as Director of the Domestic Trade Government Regulation Department at Russia’s Ministry of Industry and Trade. He directly participated in drafting some of the industry’s key instruments, including the Federal Law “On the Foundations of the Government Regulation of Trade in the Russian Federation” and the “Trade Development Strategy in the Russian Federation for 2011-2015 and for the period up to 2020.”

Under Mr. Sazanov’s leadership, the department will focus on strengthening ties with the World Trade Centers Association, Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) and regional CCIs, on fostering nationwide development of the WTC network, establishing bilateral relations with world trade centers of CIS countries, and promoting the “Russian in the WTO” international business center recently opened at the WTC (Moscow).

According to Vladimir Salamatov, General Director of WTC, Oleg Sazanov’s appointment to a new position “will reinforce the team of the World Trade Center, and will further strengthen WTC’s positions at the national and international level.”
