OREANDA-NEWS. December 28, 2012. Volodymyr Lavrenchuk, CEO of Raiffeisen Bank Aval, has been elected Vice-President of the European Business Association (EBA). The decision was approved at the EBA Annual General Meeting held on 13 December in Kyiv.

"My main task on this position is to provide a continuous dialogue between business people and state bodies, directed at the development of Ukraine’s financial sector", stated Volodymyr Lavrenchuk. "More than 900 member companies of the European Business Association are interested in the Ukrainian financial system’s being a reliable foundation for the economic prosperity of our country", added the banker.

The European Business Association is the largest organization for foreign business in Ukraine. It was founded in 1999 as a forum for discussion and solution of the problems faced by businessmen in Ukraine. This initiative of business people, who understand the advantages of joint actions of representatives of the European business community in Ukraine, has been supported by the European Commission.

Today, the European Business Association is a leading organization of the international business in Ukraine, which unites above 900 Ukrainian and international companies. The key mission of the European Business Association as a non-profit association of legal entities lies in the representation of interests of European and national investors in Ukraine. Measures, aimed at the improvement of the investment climate, are among top priorities of the Association since the moment of its foundation.
