OREANDA-NEWS. December 29, 2012. The branch of JSC “MOESK” – the Western Electric Grids has completed construction, installation and finishing works at the new station (S) of 110/10 kV “Polyanka” in the Istra District.

The construction works of this facility were implemented in several phases. The first one included construction of outdoor switchgear (OS) 110 kV. An indoor switchgear (IS) of 10 kV in 28 line cells for four sections buses was constructed for capacity output. Two 25 MVA transformers were mounted and are ready for commissioning. The total transformer capacity of them will be 50 MVA.

During construction of the feeding center, connection of S to the 110 kV grid under the scheme “in-out” was carried out at 110 kV “Luch – Manikhino” with formation of OL 110 kV “Luch – Polyanaka” and OL 110 kV “Polyanka - Manikhino”.

Nearby RUR 650 million were spent on construction of the feeding center, the construction of which started in January 2012. Construction of the energy facility was implemented within the framework of the investment program of JSC “MOESK”.

Advanced technologies are used at the new energy plant of 110/10 kV. The operation of the substation equipment does not require constant presence of personnel. Substation automatic equipment will enable remote continuous monitoring of electricity quality in respect of many parameters, including frequency and capacity.

The new feeding center plays an important part in solution of energy shortage in the Istra District and the city of Istra. A part of the total provided transformer capacity of the substation “Polyanka” is intended to ensure reliable and quality power supply to the inhabitants of the neighborhood “Vostochny”, which is built under the program of the fund Russian Housing Construction. The remaining capacity of the substation will create favorable conditions for connection of new consumers of the Istra District to the grids of JSC “MOESK”.
