OREANDA-NEWS. January 4, 2013. Within the framework of the investment program of 2012, the power engineers of JSC “MOESK” are reconstructing 110 kV substation “Babushkin” with its transfer to a higher voltage - 220 kV. The high-voltage equipment has exhausted its technological resource since the last renovation of the substation, which was constructed at the beginning of the thirties.

Substation is located in the North-Eastern administrative district and provides the residential quarters with electric power, tens of the important social and industrial facilities of the city, among them Mytischinsky distance of power supply of branch of JSC “Moscow railways”, JSC “Mytischinsk Electric Grid Company”, “Spetstonnel’stroy”, LLC, JSC “Transsignalstroy”.

Currently, the construction of the substation’s new buildings and a crossing point has been completed. They have finished the installation of 220 kV gas-insulated factory-assembled switch-gear of “ABB” production and factory-assembled switch-gears 6 and 10 kV, produced by Company JSC “Moselectroschit”. Four power transformers with the total installed capacity of 252 MVA produced by Company JSC “Electrozavod” are equipped with an efficient system of the automatic fire extinguishing. As a result of the reconstruction, the substation will get microprocessing protections, operating DC voltage system, 6-10 kV distribution devices of enhanced reliability with isolated high-voltage compartments, remote signaling system, remote control, remote measuring and video surveillance. All the telemetering information will arrive at a computerized work site of the operating personnel. As of today, the works are being performed as to a setting operation of the installed equipment.

By the words of Deputy Director General – Director of the Central Electric Grids roman Voinov, the transfer of SS # 18 “Babushkin” to the voltage of 220 kV will make it possible to increase power supply reliability of the North-Eastern administrative district of the capital city and owing to the reserve of capacity to provide new consumers with electric power.

Substation “Babushkin”, which is planned to be launched in year 2013, will become one of the most advanced feeding centers of JSC “MOESK”.
