OREANDA-NEWS. January 09, 2013. The Prime Minister Mykola Azarov named top priority tasks for 2013 directed to activation of economic development with an aim to ensure GDP growth up to 3.5% at the least. Respective charges were set during the session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

“First of all, we should draw investment resources, improve investment climate, more actively implement deregulation,” Mykola Azarov emphasized.

In his words, just today the Government will start considering practical mechanisms of intensification of investment activity. “We strive to create such conditions to have our own powerful agricultural machine-building, to produce national Ukrainian locomotives, carriages and speed trains, to ensure launch of IT-innovations in the national market, first of all. Ukrainian industry needs powerful investment impetus,” stressed the Head of the Government.

At this he outlined the tasks in this direction.

In particular, according to Mykola Azarov, it is necessary to actively administrate the program of import replacement, to shorten negative foreign trade balance, that lay within personal responsibility of the First Vice Prime Minister Serhiy Arbuzov and Minister of Economy and Trade Ihor Prasolov.

Besides, the Prime Minister stressed on the importance to revive oil-processing, chemical branches and electrometallurgy. “To achieve this we should achieve realization of the adopted decisions directed to cutting industrial expenditures of the national producers in the mentioned areas. These issues are within personal responsibility of the Vice Prime Minister Yuriy Boyko and Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Eduard Stavytsky,” Mykola Azarov explained.

Also, in his words, the current year the program of industrial building of accommodation must work and at the same time capital building of social infrastructure should continue in compliance with the schedules the implementation of which are under the personal control of Mykola Azarov. Personal responsibility for realization of the program is laid upon Vice Prime Minister Olexandr Vilkul and Minister of Regional Development, Building and Housing Hennady Temnyk.

In addition, Mykola Azarov stressed Ukraine possesses every opportunity to use positive foundation laid by holding of Euro-2012 for the development of tourist branch and active exploitation of the modern sport infrastructure: “This issue should be taken by Vice Prime Minister Kostyantyn Gryshchenko”.

One more issue emphasized by Mykola Azarov is that in the year of 2013 a lot should be made to ensure rapid development of transport branch, improvement of quality and effectiveness of passenger and cargo transportation. “We will build highways and speed railroads, modernize the park with machines of national production. This task is set to the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Volodymyr Kozak,” the Prime Minister said.

According to Mykola Azarov, serious advancement is needed in industrialization of the agricultural production. ”Positive changes in animal breeding should not only be fixed, but transferred to the upper level. Growing of grain crops in practically every location having necessary conditions should be done with the use of innovative industrial technologies. And we should just now start preparation to not easy, which is understandable already today, spring sowing campaign,” the Head of the Government stressed and added that Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Prysyazhnyuk is responsible for this issue.
