OREANDA-NEWS. January 09, 2013. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, in Q3, 2012 the export of Moldovan alcohol raised to USD 45,99 mln. from \\$41.97 mln., 9.6% up as compared with the same period of 2011.

Russia was a major consumer of Moldovan wine and cognacs in January-September, 2012. In this period Moldova exported to Russia alcohol products at a sum of USD 40.59 mln. 37.4% up as compared with the same period of 2011. Belarus was second to Russia consumer of Moldovan wine and cognac.

Within this period it purchased Moldovan alcohol at a sum of USD 29.35 mln., 21.3% up as compared with the same period of 2011. Moldova’s alcohol export declined 15.7% to USD 19.68 mln. to Ukraine and increased 45.4% to USD 12.98 mln. to Kazakhstan. Deliveries of Moldovan wine and cognac increased 1.7 рtimes to USD 7,09 mln. to the USA, 1.8 times to USD 4.49 mln. to Georgia, 3.1 times to USD 3.84 mln. to China, 10.3% to USD5.46 mln. to Poland.

Within the first 9 months of 2012 Moldova exported 4.4% less wine and cognac to Czech Republic at a sum of USD 3.43 mln.; 45.5% more alcohol to Romania at a sum of USD 2,97 mln., 36% more to Kyrgyzstan at a sum of USD 1,17 mln., and 45.6% more alcohol to Azerbaijan at a sum of USD 0,67 mln. The deliveries declined 32.1% to USD 1.44 mln. to Germany and grew 30.6% to USD 0.64 mln. to Slovakia.
