OREANDA-NEWS. January 09, 2013. A total sum of three subcomponents of the airport due remains the same, Deputy Minister of Transport and Road Infrastructure Boris Gherasim said. But the amount of the sub-component the International Airport of Chisinau pays to the Civil Aviation Agency of Moldova has been raised from 0.67 to 1.25 euros per head. Thus, the International Airport will have fewer funds received for passenger transportation. The cargo due remained the same - 1 euro per tonne.

The takeoff and landing due was also kept the same, 1 euro per head. The resolution was adopted by the government in the framework of reforms launched in the civil aviation in the context of the reorganization of the State Civil Aviation Administration into the Civil Administration Agency of Moldova, an increase in employees of the new body and a raise in requirements to the flight security ensuring as Moldova entered the EU common air space.

The resolution by the government will not affect prices for air tickets since the overall sum of the three subcomponents of the airport due has note changed, Deputy Minister of transport and Road Infrastructure Boris Gherasim said. According to him, the Ministry is seeking for an opportunity to reduce airport dues in order to attract low-cost air companies and further bring air ticket prices down.
