OREANDA-NEWS. January 10, 2013. Belarus’ grape wine production totalled 2.389 million decalitres in January-November 2012, up 4.8% year on year, the National Statistics Committee of Belarus told.

In November alone output of natural grape wines totalled 222,000 dal, down 4.3% year on year, down 14.3% month on month.

Grape wine inventories stood at 262,000 dal as of December 1, 2012, up 4.8% month on month, which accounts for 120.6% of the average monthly output.

Grape wine sales increased 3.3% year on year in Jan-Nov 2012 to 2.824 million dal.

In terms of pure alcohol, the share of grape wines accounted for 4.5% in Jan-Nov 2012, up 0.5 percentage points from the level of Jan-Nov 2011.
